The Jets have brought back cornerback Isaiah Trufant, who was on the team's active roster during last year's playoffs.

Trufant was claimed by the Philadelphia Eagles after the Jets waived him last winter, and after Philadelphia cut him Tuesday to pare their roster down to 80 men, the Jets re-signed him — just in time to play the Eagles in tonight's preseason finale.

The 5-8 cornerback was undrafted in 2006 and bounced around the AFL and UFL before landing with the Jets prior to their regular-season finale last year. The younger brother of Seattle's Marcus Trufant, he was on the roster for two playoff games — one of 11 active defensive backs against New England. He was waived before the AFC Championship Game so the Jets could promote Martin Tevaseu from the practice squad.

The addition brings the Jets' roster to 79.
