Anyone see Cimini's accidental tweet?

How has Max not photoshopped Cimini's face onto a milk carton? That is a missed opportunity.

I am trying to pull something else off.  But that is good, if someone could run with that and photoshop Cimini's face on a milk carton we can get it some exposure.  :)

WHEN TWITTER FUN BACKFIRES In-house Twitter war erupts at ESPN?

FOX Sports             Updated May 14, 2013 3:33 PM ET

By now, we have all been exposed to countless stories of athletestweeting out something that, as soon as they hit the "Tweet" button,

wish they could have back. (Don't worry ... if you don't know what we're talking about, you'll love the end of this post.)

Well, sometimes members of the media can fall victim to the same slip-ups. And, just like with athletes, it doesn't take the Socialsphere
long to pounce, no matter how quickly that tweet gets deleted. Our newest case in point came Saturday, compliments of ESPN New York writer Rich Cimini.

Cimini, covering the New York Jets minicamp, apparently thought he was direct messaging somebody on Twitter. Only, he actually tweeted his message out for all to see. And it did not contain many kind words:

Later Saturday, Cimini tweeted an apology.

Regardless of the apology, the question naturally became, of whom was he ripping a new one? And, as was the case in an even more infamous Twitter whodunit last week, the social sleuths quickly went to work.

Clearly, most suspect that tweet was targeted at fellow ESPN-NY reporter Jane McManus. To date, no official confirmation of the subject of the tweet has been given, nor has a statement been released by McManus or ESPN. But hey, why let that stop you? Is this tweeter predicting biblical justice for Cimini?

Like we said, Cimini isn't breaking new ground; he's just walking onto an already-worn playing field.
