To be clear, all that matters this year

is whether Hack has the goods.  Macc and Bowles are exposed at this point.  Either Hack develops, or at the least Bowles is gone next year.  If he develops, they look like geniuses.  If he doesn't well then our picks really don't matter, do they?  If Hack doesn't win the QB job, and McCown is our starter on day 1, we are screwed.  Yeah, yeah, but Darnold... but watch us post a 7-9, pick 10th, and watch the QBs come off the board before us.  We have no ammo for next year's draft to move up.

Personally, I'm rooting for Hack.  Maybe they know something from his offseason that we don't.  He shows us something, and we have an emerging defense, suddenly the glass is half full.
