Seahawks: Hamlin cleared to play

March 23, 2006 6:25 PM ET

The News

Safety Ken Hamlin has been cleared to resume his playing career and is expected to be ready for training camp in July, his agent said Thursday. Hamlin suffered a fractured skull last October when he was hit in the head with a street sign outside a Seattle nightclub. He missed the remainder of the season.

Our View

There is a spot for Hamlin in the Seahawks secondary if he can fully recover from his head injury. Backup safety Marquand Manuel, who filled in for Hamlin during the team's Super Bowl run, signed with the Packers earlier in March.

Im glad to see he is ok enough to play ...and Yes I realize he started the fight.
