Smizzy Posted February 28, 2005 Share Posted February 28, 2005 Top Story: Rolle to DC? --- (2/27/05) Sirius, satellite radio is reporting that the Redskins are close to a deal with CB Samri Rolle. Rolle was released last week for cap related reason from Tennessee. Rolle has played all seven years of his career with Tennessee, racking up 23 interceptions. The move would sure up the Redskins secondary that will face the loss of Fred Smoot to free agency. Smoot was offered a contract extension by the Redskins, but chose instead to enter free agency, seeking a higher signing bonus than the Redskins are willing to pay. RichardSeymour Posted February 28, 2005 Share Posted February 28, 2005 Their defense could be NASTY if they acquire Rolle and shore up their D-line in the draft.... it was pretty nasty last year (league leading 3.3 ypc rushing D IIRC), and they might make substantial improvement this offseason....
