Regardless if we draft him Matt Ryan is the key to this draft

There is a point to be made about the fact that there will no doubt be teams that pass on Matt Ryan, who themselves have no answer at Quarterback. Miami, Atlanta, Kansas City and The New York Jets all have unsettled QB situations and none of them can boast having a 'franchise' QB. So its clear that if Matt Ryan falls past pick 6, there will be several franchises that forever have to answer the question on weather or not they should have drafted Matt Ryan. That being said, Ryan's draft position will dictate this entire draft. If he does not go in the top 6 there could be a slew of teams looking to trade up with New England at pick 7 for Ryan's services (Ahead of Baltimore which is another city with no franchise QB). Carolina and Chicago are the two most likely candidates but don't rule out other teams like Minnesota and possibly Detroit who also have question marks. If Ryan goes in the top 5 that will push an elite player down the line right into the laps of the New York Jets at # 6 If Ryan falls to 6 and the Jets are not intent on drafting him, they could hold the key to trading down for teams like Chicago and Carolina (Jets and Carolina had a draft day deal last year if you recall and all Jet fans remember the other draft day deal that sent Chicago's #4 pick to the NYJ). That is your best chance to trade out of the pick, if not you will either be handing a huge chip to NE and passing on a possible Franchise QB or drafting a guy who is not truly projected to go that high. Either way, Matt Ryan is the key to the rest of the first round.
