NJ
I welcome the bat back. The rest?? Dunno.... The best thing about Soriano for the Cubs are his hot streaks. If he'd been healthy the few games before and after the AS break and been hot - we might have won 2 or 3 of the games we lost. He can absolutely carry a team on his back when he's happening. Fukadome has been ice cold all July until Lou put him in the 7 hole today and Edmonds/Lee/Soto have been cold since well before the break too. They arent all going to be hot at the same time but neither are they all going to be cold at the same time. We've got a great mix of accomplished hitters with power and some great clutch sticks on the bench (Fontenot, Hoffpauir, Ward) If Harden stays healthy, or hell, even if he doesn't we will have a great starting 3 pitchers to go into a playoff/series. Couple that with relief arms that are flat nasty when they're on and not throwing away 3 for every good one when they're not. I'm actually starting to believe. Even with a half century of personal solid evidence that we will fukk this up.
