Blackout
Tue, Aug 26 Fuentes will probably be placed on waivers this week to test the market, the Denver Post reports. Recommendation: He probably won't be traded. The Rockies had high demands (a major league-ready starting pitcher prospect) in July and Fuentes has boosted his value even further in August (1.69 ERA, 17 strikeouts and eight saves in 10.2 innings). In fact, the free-agent-to-be might even return to the Rockies in 2009. Manager Clint Hurdle recently called him the best closer in the game. wow...
