ZachEY
This is actually somewhat reassuring that after the 1st 4 games, we've been even in the turnover battle. A slight improvement from Geno would give us a strong shot at sticking around for a while. This week and next will reveal a ton.
Jetsfan80
No statistic in football defines the outcome of a game more than turnovers. The New York Jets are currently at minus ten in turnovers meaning they have given up the ball ten times more than they have gotten it. These statements seem contradictory for us. -10 in turnovers yet we're 5-4. THE RULES DON'T APPLY TO US.
BurnleyJet
It's good I was thinking about this, we've managed the get to 5-4 with very few take aways. Sometimes take aways can be squed by a touch of luck. I'm expecting we will create a lot more turn overs in the second half of the season.

Sometimes take aways can be squed by a touch of luck. I'm expecting we will create a lot more turn overs in the second half of the season. We've done a pretty good job making sure our turnovers don't happen at crucial moments. Each of our victories came down to the final possession, and Geno not only didn't turn the ball over at the end of those games, he went out and helped secure the victory each time. He screws up in any of those situations and we're 4-5 or much worse. Meanwhile, Antonio Allen had a rare pick 6 on Brady that pretty much won us that game. Turnovers are always bad, but some are worse than others depending on the circumstance. Sanchez was the KING of the costly turnover. Pick 6's, picks in the opposing team's red zone, picks thrown to defensive linemen in the 4th quarter, a demoralizing butt fumble....that was his M.O.
