LionelRichie Posted December 30, 2013 Share Posted December 30, 2013 Very true, but his hand was forced and the team wound up going from a 4-12 type of season into an 8-8 playoff winner. Ryan stuck with Sanchez all year long and wound up 6-10. Fox isn't a great coach, but by and far, he sure showed that he could outcoach Rex. Hell Tebow and Fox beat Rex and Sanchez. Mike McCoy outcoached Rex, not John Fox. That was 100% Mike McCoy calling that game with Tebow and he is one of the few OC's in the league who is willing to change his approach based on the players. Orton, Tebow, Manning and he basically ran different systems to fit each QB. That is great coaching and the main reason he turned around the Chargers in 1 season with a putrid roster.
