Just like a lot of the players listed above - they were "busts" because they weren't amazing straight away.

Everyone wants the one-year rebuild and being competitive straight away, because it happened somewhere else once or twice. Just ignore the amount of times it doesn't work out that way.

It's such a shame that he didn't draft better.  To me, that was the correct approach to legitimately getting us out of the situation we're in.

To be fair, he only had two drafts and managed to draft a Defensive Rookie of the Year and a Pro-Bowl quarterback.

Wasn't a large part of the reason Idzik was fired because of him cracking during that press conference?  He did not seem like the guy we wanted picking our next coach.  Then again, I don't think Charley Casserly and Ron Wolf did such a hot job either.
