rebuilding time for the Nets now. Not getting back anything they can build around. Devin Harris is a nice player, but that's it. Stackhouse is washed up and the rest are expiring contracts. Thorn is kicking himself everyday for giving Carter that contract over the summer. They couldn't trade him for a bag of balls anymore.

sounds like the Nets will get 2 first round picks as well.

word is they will buy out Stackhouse's contract right away, and he will resign with the Mavs. Nets didn't want him, but had to take him in order to get inside the league trade mandate of 80% salary matchup.

Why now, would the 24 Nets fans go to the games??? Kidd is gone and they are a lame duck team going to Brooklyn in a few years. Oh yeah, and prices for a "decent" seat are crazy.

they will average 6,000 the rest of the year!

don't get why you'd be going anyway. the team was done. nets are in rebuilding mode. I'd rather watch Harris than watch Kidd because Kidd is 35 and he will not be part of future success.

Wouldn't anyone rather watch a team lose with young players than lose with players like Kidd and Carter?

And they were packing the IZOD Center before the trade? That place was empty when the Nets were winning 50+ games a year. I used to show up the day of a playoff game to buy tickets.

Don't underestimate Harris. Yes, he's no Kidd but he's a good young player and I like his game. Very quick and explosive.
