124 Posted February 13, 2009 Share Posted February 13, 2009 REDSKINS RESTRUCTURE CARTER, RANDLE EL CONTRACTS Posted by Aaron Wilson on February 12, 2009, 8:04 p.m. The Redskins have restructured contracts for defensive end Andre Carter and wide receiver Antwaan Randle El, saving the team a total of $4.4 million in salary cap room, the Washington Post reports. Citing anonymous sources, Jason LaCanfora of the Post reports that Carter reduced his 2009 base salary from $2 million to $1.5 million, which saved the team a total of roughly $2.4 million. And Randle El has saved the team $2 million against the cap after lowering his base salary to $1.5 million from a scheduled compensation of $4 million.
