Jets are usually pretty active and big spenders in UDFA, but almost nothing this year. Wonder if Woody is pulling the purse strings a bit.

those trade downs out of the 4th round may have saved a 100k or so

I wonder what the savings equate to sign three 6th round picks vs. three 4th round picks? Enough to pay for architect drawings for the new Queens stadium?

Bring in another QB in. There is never enough QB'S. I like Jason Bean out of Kansas and John Rhhyse Plumlee out of UCF.

We need camp arms, I don’t think Travis is ready for practice yet. Those are 2 good choices.

They haven't been signed yet. I watched both. Bean is the fastest QB in this draft. I think he ran a 4.45 forty. And he has a nice arm. He had an 82.5 QB Rating.

So far we have signed #1  available IDLman and #2 CB. Nice start. Hopefully a few more positions hit

Two nice signings. A 1st team all conference CB in Monroe and a high school stand out and a load in the middle DT.

Sources: #Jets signing Jimmy Ciarlo, LB, Army as UDFA

4/27/24, 8:25 PM

Army linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo is gaining interest from local NFL teams.

Ciarlo worked out at the Giants facility in East Rutherford, N.J. yesterday. The Black Knights’ two-year starter stayed for extra special teams work and a physical.

A 2023 team captain, Ciarlo is working out for the Jets today. Both NFL teams had scouts at Army Pro Day where Ciarlo impressed last month. Ciarlo, who is from Ringwood, N.J., pumped out 34 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press and posted solid speed times.

Ciarlo recorded 58 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery as a senior. He was named the recipient of the team’s Black Lion award for “leadership, courage, devotion and selfless service” for the 2023 season.

By my count we have 15 open roster spots not counting the UDFAs

  • OFFENSE: 38
  • DEFENSE: 33
  • SPECIALISTS: 4
  • TOTAL: 75 (15 OPEN ROSTER SPOTS)

So, that might be, let's say 8 UDFA, 4 Vet Free Agents (Conner McGovern? Sam Equaveon?), and 3 tryout guys
