Evans has really surprised me. At Buffalo he was hitting .097 (yes that's NOT a typo ) and was farmed out to AA. GimmeShelter Posted June 26, 2009 Share Posted June 26, 2009 Carpenter completely outpitched Johan but kudos for our guy bouncing back after struggling in the early innings. Big break was Carpenter deflecting a DP ball that if the play is made, we may have got shutout by him. Good win though. This team does not quit.
