JerryK
I go to a lot of offices. I gotta admit..in some of them, the wallpaper has body odor. Is it the paper or the glue?? My mom always wallpapered our house with no smell...but I step into some of these offices and it smells like the sweat-soaked tights of a Mexican Luchador. Society must deal with this. JerryK
Maybe the stink comes from the vinyl.

PatriotReign37
Most commercial wallcoverings are vinyl, not paper. Yes they are for durability and cleaning. The Vinyl might be whats called "off gassing" Some mini blinds were prone to do that when they first came out. http://www.bobvila.com/HowTo_Library/Paint_Wallpaper_and_Indoor_Air_Quality-Subject_Healthy_Home-A2485.html
