flgreen Posted May 19, 2011 Share Posted May 19, 2011 Jets fall to Giants ... the SF Giants May, 19, 2011 May 19 9:24 AM ET By Rich Cimini The Jets were nominated in the "best-professional-sports-team-of-the-year" category for the 2011 Sports Business Awards, but they came up a bit short, losing out to the San Francisco Giants. The awards were presented Wednesday night by the Sports Business Journal. A number of Jets officials attended the presentation in Manhattan, including owner Woody Johnson, who offered his take on the outcome. "They won the World Series," Johnson told reporters, referring to the Giants, of course. "That's a big deal. That was the difference." Could've been worse.
