Linebacker Matt Roth agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Roth started all 16 games last season for the Cleveland Browns. He had a career-best 86 tackles and 3½ sacks.

He has 20 career sacks in seven seasons with the Miami Dolphins and Browns.

Roth, who will turn 29 in October, was drafted by Miami in the second round of the 2005 draft. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Roth had his best season for the Dolphins in 2008, when he moved from defensive end to outside linebacker and started 14 games.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
