November 5, 2012 – The New York Jets have signed LB D.J. Bryant and RB John Griffin to the practice squad. The announcements were made by General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Bryant (6-3/248/James Madison/Baltimore, MD) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Houston (05/14/12) and played in four preseason games before he was waived (08/31/12). Bryant has spent time this season on the practice squads of both the Buccaneers and Colts. He most recently signed to the Colts practice squad (10/09/12) before being released (10/18/12). In four seasons at James Madison, Bryant recorded 118 tackles, including 27.5 for a loss, and 12.5 sacks.

Griffin (5-11/208/Massachusetts/Westminster, MA) joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Cincinnati (07/28/11), but was waived by the Bengals after the preseason (09/03/11). He signed with the Jets as a reserve/future free agent (01/03/12) and was waived during training camp (08/08/12). As a senior at Massachusetts, Griffin rushed for 843 yards and five touchdowns on 168 carries.
