  1. The problem is he isn't going into his contract year, he has 1.5 years left. And even then, you can franchise him. So if by 2024, you aren't sure he is the guy worthy of $20M a year, franchise him for a year and see where it goes. He's only 24, he's not even in his prime yet, so there is plenty of time and space to go. I think we as a fan base were hoping for this QW from day one, instead we saw a 7-10 best DT for 2-3 years around injuries. Now he's playing like a top 2 DT and meeting our high expectations. It is good to see, and I can understand the hesitancy on a long term deal, but he hasn't been as bad as others make him out to be.
  2. I did the same thing, but I was able to get an airbnb by the stadium for what will end up being ~200 a guy when everything was said an done, which seems to be a minor miracle. So excited for this weekend, as there is actual hope for something good to come from this.
  3. So I went on Airbnb the day before the schedule was released and based on schedule leaks, knew we were playing them that weekend. I then booked a place 7 min drive from the stadium (if you look for Gilligan's Bar and Grill in Green Bay, it is across the street) since at that time there were 2-3 listings that were close and reasonable in price and I knew they were going to go quickly. I might have space in the airbnb for either 2 or 4 people (the place has 3 bedrooms with a king, queen, and 2 single beds). I booked the airbnb from Friday to Monday since I wanted to do a tour of Lambeau on Saturday and figured I'd fly on Friday afternoon, and fly home on Monday. The cost for the spot per person would be ~$200 for the whole weekend which I think is considerably cheaper than the other options with the place being nicer than a hotel. I know I don't post on here as much as I used to, but I used to be a very involved JN family member, and used to do the weekly report cards, daily training camp reports (back in 2006/2007/2008) and posted plenty. I even think @Maxman would vouch for me at least not being a dick :). For this trip I want to get a group together of good Jet fans that are up for a fun weekend, have a few beers and hopefully watch a win. If anyone is interested in jumping in either respond here, or send me message here or on twitter (@jetsgnome) and we can figure it out. As for tickets, I haven't gotten yet, but I'm also following a Packers fan fb page to try to get tickets that way, but it isn't a top of mind thing yet.
  4. I’m going to Green Bay. Got an Airbnb on Wednesday night based on a leak from a packers writer. Saw that hotels were crap and expensive and the airbnbs weren’t much better. Was able to get the nicest cheapest one within a few miles of the stadium. I’ll figure out how to fill it later as I’m sure if I can’t find someone to go, there will be some fans at some point needing a bed
  5. I'll be there too on 7/31, just found out a friend had an extra ticket. I look forward to your training camp reports @KRL. Back in my much younger years here on the board and when the Training Camps were back at Hofstra (I think 2006-2008 seasons) I was doing the training camp report beat. Loved every second of it, and was hitting up the two a days whenever I could hanging out at Chrebet's restaurant in between and writing the report over lunch. Now I'm just old, and had to beg the wife to watch the baby for me to sneak out for half a day. How the times have changed
  6. @MaxmanI am definitely in for the game and would likely have a few people coming along as well. Would love to tag back in for a little JN fun
  7. It's time to step up and bring joy to the us Jet fans who have been there from the beginning. Whether that beginning was 1960, 1980, or 2000, all Jet fans have seen their fair share of disappointment and heartache to deserve a win and a smile on their face tomorrow night. J-E-T-S. JETS! JETS! JETS!!!!
  8. Hey, Yea I'm good for it. I'll be send them to you same as last year either Sunday night or Monday, based on my schedule. Hopefully this year, we get a few more wins to make them up beat, but we'll see.

  9. Just checking to make sure you are still cool for the report cards again this year? I know you said you were -- just triple checking, lol. Thanks.
