Notes from the Jets media relations department on the Jets' 37-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday:

Captains: DT Marcus Dixon, LB Josh Mauga, DL Martin Tevaseu, RB LaDainian Tomlinson, S Kyle Wilson

First-Career Start: OL Vladimir Ducasse started in an offensive set that included an extra lineman.

Homefield Advantage: With the win, the Jets have improved their home record to 6-1 this season. They are 10-4 at home since 2010, when New Meadowlands Stadium/MetLife Stadium opened and 14-8 at home since Rex Ryan was named head coach in 2009. The last time the Jets posted a 6-1 mark after seven home games was 2004.

Winning Streak: The victory was the Jets' third straight, the second time this season the team has won at least three consecutive games. In each of Coach Ryan’s first three seasons as head coach, the Jets have registered at least two streaks of three consecutive wins:

2009: Weeks 1-3 (3 games) and Weeks 12-14 (3 games)

2010: Weeks 2-6 (5 games), Weeks 9-12 (4 games)

2011: Weeks 6-9 (3 games), Weeks 12-14 (3 games)

First-Half Offense: The 28 points scored by the Jets in the first half were the most since they totaled 35 points vs. ARZ (09/28/08). They gained 253 yards in the first half, representing the most they produced since 278 vs. BUF (12/14/08).

Offensive Output: With 34 points in the win last week at WAS (12/04/11) and 37 points today, the Jets have scored 30+ points in consecutive weeks for the first time since the final two games of the 2010 season when they registered 34 in the loss at CHI (12/26/10) and 38 in the win vs. BUF (1/02/11).

Opening-Drive Touchdowns: For the second consecutive week, the Jets offense opened the game with a touchdown drive. Last week at WAS, they scored to tie the game at 7-7 after a 17-play, 69-yard drive that culminated in a 1-yard Shonn Greene touchdown run. This week the Jets generated an 11-play, 77-yard drive that resulted in a 1-yard Mark Sanchez touchdown run. The Jets scored touchdowns in consecutive opening drives for the first time since the 2010 season when they scored in Week 3 vs. MIA (9/26/10) and Week 4 at BUF (10/4/10).

First-Half Defense: In the first half, the Jets defense held the Chiefs to 4 yards of total offense and minus-15 net yards passing to help the Jets establish a 28-3 halftime lead. Both are the lowest first-half totals for an opponent in team history, surpassing the 7 yards of total offense and the zero yards passing allowed by the Jets in the 2009 season finale vs. CIN (01/03/10).

Sacks: The Jets registered a season-high five sacks, the most since the team’s five sacks in the AFC Divisional Round playoff win at NE (01/16/11) last season. Six different players combined for the five sacks, including LB Bart Scott (3.5 sacks this season), NT Sione Pouha (1.0), LB David Harris (4.0), S Eric Smith (2.5) and a split sack by LB Calvin Pace (4.5) and DT Marcus Dixon (0.5). This season the Jets have registered 29 sacks total by 12 players.

Safeties: After P T.J. Conley pinned the Chiefs at their 1-yard line, NT Sione Pouha tackled RB Jackie Battle for a 1-yard loss and a safety. The safety was the sixth the Jets have registered since 2009 (including the postseason), the most of any NFL team. The safety was the Jets' third of the season. Also recording safeties this year were DE Muhammad Wilkerson (vs. JAX, 09/18/11) and one credited to the team when Patriots QB Tom Brady, under pressure from LB Jamaal Westerman, was penalized for intentional grounding in the end zone (vs. NE, 11/13/11).
