If he's not ready to start they shouldn't start him. And that will be determined by how they play. It's already being determined and people are reporting Mark is better than Geno right now. If you don't like the news that's fine but it is what it is. Look at the schedule Week 2 is Thursday night on the road against New England. It's entirely possible the Jets could ruin Geno and have to turn back to Sanchez. after the bye is Cleveland and a much easier slate. 6 games is enough to evaluate a player. We found out McElroy sucked in 2. And by the way just handing someone the QB job when they haven't earned it, isn't that the Mark Sanchez story? If he's a guy who can be ruined by a bad game the Jets need to know that. BTW giving Sanchez the job in year 1 wasn't the problem.
