Blackout
when you are in the same division as Matt Ryan and drew Brees and your QB is Josh Freeman you pretty much have 0 chance at the playoffs Does he prefer having 16 million enough to play in obscurity? slats
He'll earn a quick $32-48M, then pimp himself out to the highest bidder/contender. He's probably okay with that.
pedro55
He's arrogant like Sanders was, but he doesn't have the same flash or fanbase and his people aren't as smart. Sanders left to go to super bowl teams. Revis left to go to a team who went 7-9 last year and has a terrible offense and HC. Either he was sold a bag of goods and fell for it or it's just about the money and he'll be a nobody in a few years. Nobody considers you a great CB on a team who might wind up 6-10 and lost a bunch of games 23-3. The Jets might not be that great of a team, but there defense keeps them in games. People know this. Opposing teams know this. The Bucs defense is vastly improved from last year, but you saw today how bad that team is. Revis might force his way out again, but the reality is he's not Sanders. And what winning team with super bowl expectations will pay the guy 16 million per year? If he stays with that mentality he's going to be on the Bucs or teams like the Bucs throughout his career.
