flgreen
Practice report: Holmes sits positional drills November, 20, 2013 NOV 20 1:10 PM ET By Rich Cimini | ESPNNewYork.com RECOMMEND0 TWEET1 COMMENTS0 EMAIL PRINT FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who returned last Sunday from a five-game hamstring injury, didn't participate in positional drills during the early portion of Wednesday's practice. It's quite possible that Holmes received a rest day from Rex Ryan, who can't afford to lose his most accomplished receiver. If Holmes aggravated the injury, it would be bad news for the offense. Fellow receiver Jeremy Kerley, who suffered an elbow dislocation 2 1/2 weeks ago, made an appearance on the practice field. He wore a red practice jersey, with an elbow brace under his sweat top. Clearly, he still isn't close to returning, as he caught passes one-handed in the receiver drills. Once again, outside linebacker Garrett McIntyre (knee) didn't practice. The signing of linebackerJermaine Cunningham suggests McIntyre might be sidelined longer than expected.
