Kona Schwenke
School: Notre Dame
Position: DT
Positive: Used extensively as a rotational lineman for Notre Dame last season and finished the year with a career-best 23 tackles. Quick, explosive defensive tackle prospect with an underrated game. Fires off the snap, plays with good pad level and keeps his feet moving on contact. Controls the gaps, flashes power and gets push up the field. Easily changes direction, fluid getting down the line scrimmage and competitive. Effectively uses his hands protecting himself.
Negative: Lacks bulk, handled at the point of attack or completely engulfed by blockers. Marginally productive in college and really did not make many plays on the ball.
Analysis: Schwenke lacks a large body of work on the college field but his combination of quickness, movement skills and athleticism makes him a developmental three technique tackle to keep an eye on.

Schwenke, who went undrafted out of Notre Dame, is listed at 6-4 and 297 pounds. He played in 31 games during his career and logged nine starts, including seven in 2013, when he filled in for star nose tackle Louis Nix. Schwenke finished the 2013 season with 23 tackles and a half-sack. During his pro day, he ran a 4.94 40-yard dash, bench-pressed 225 pounds 27 times and posted a vertical jump of 29 inches.
