nico002
I don't get it. The job of the gm is to put together the best possible roster under the cap. A good coach works around players strengths. Other than it being an ego boost to the gm, why does he have to hire the coach? if a team with a good coach loses its gm to retirement or whatever, should the coach be replaced? Larz
because everything happens in a vaccuum, none of these guys know each other, and if you hire the coach first, you can only get high school drop outs to interview for the GM job
DaBallhawk
The only team looking for a GM are the Bears, so why bother going after the top GM candidates out there. They're not going anywhere. They have no options except for staying put. But there's like 6 teams looking for a HC. You don't want to be that 6th team to land a HC because most likely it's gonna be somebody that everyone else passed on...like a Mangini type or Rex Ryan, guys that aren't the hottest names. Not saying they suck, but if those 2 guys are our only option we're ****ed. We've fired both of them already.
