I think it speaks to the current health of the game of football that after a KO returned for a TD, Joe Buck finds it necessary to let us know the refs didn't insert themselves into the game. I dont know what the numbers are, but the refs play way too big a role in 2015. And some of the things are made up, imaginary. Specifically Roughing the Passer and Defensive PI. Things like that make cynics like me think the refs, or the league, is on the take in some fashion. No one can be this incompetent at thier job and not get fired, right? Right?
