Sarge4Tide Posted August 29, 2016 Share Posted August 29, 2016 Jets needed to release 15 players by Tiesday, today they released 11 and put one on the injured list. So they still have to release 3 more. But why not just release them today with the others? I guess there are 5 possible reasons: 1) They are still evaluating players and haven't decided yet? 2) They want to explore the waiver wire before making a final decision? 3) They are working on some sort of trade that will impact who they cut? 4) They actually have cut the other 3 but we just haven't heard yet? 5) They want to wait until the last minute to announce the other 3 in the hopes they'll slip through waivers and be re-signed to the practice squad?
