Really like Middleton's potential. Hard to gauge whether on not he will have a 'great' NFL career. But of the players listed (unless C.Watts ends up sticking somewhere as a starter and has a long career) I think Middleton has the most potential to be a great FS. He's long and lanky, has good speed and solid coverage skills and has already flashed a good eye for the ball.

The Jets really need a safety to develop from this list.  I am thinking that the combination of Gilcrist's salary and ability will cause him to disappear from the team in 2017.  That safety needs to be able to cover.

Then again, maybe Revis replaces Gilcrist in 2017 at a lower pay.

Can we add Ross Martin to the list?  Why do we need Wendall Williams?  That could send Folk a message.

It would appear to me that, after week 1, the secondary is the position group that could be the teams greatest weakness, after QB.
