Rich Cimini     ESPN Staff Writer

The Jets' decision to hire Dowell Loggains as their new offensive coordinator/QBs coach comes as no surprise. He worked under Adam Gase in Miami and Chicago. Loggains' track record doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. In nine seasons as a coordinator and/or QBs coach with Miami, Chicago, Cleveland and Tennessee, he never made the playoffs, never coached a top-14 offense (yards) and never coached a top-15 quarterback (passer rating). He will be the No. 2 man on offense, as Gase will call the plays, but Loggains will be involved in game planning and will have a role in tutoring Sam Darnold on a day-to-day basis.
