I was wondering as to the thoughts of Simmons perhaps being this year's Jaylon Smith/Sidney Jones. Pre-injury, they projected him as a top 15 pick. He has a video of him punching a woman when he was in high school which is a big red flag. According to Move the Sticks podcast, they have talked to people at Mississippi State and found him to be a model student/teammate/person and that the incident was out of character. No excuses, it still happened. The draftniks knew about the incident but were still projecting him as a top 15 pick. The reason for his fall from a top 15 pick is because of his torn ACL. He will be redshirting his first year. Could he be a player that sits out his rookie year and then proves to be a top 15 talent? Jaylon Smith type success or Sidney Jones type struggle?
