In my opinion the idea that Douglas has consistently given the coaching staff good quality talent is at best an oversimplification and at worst flat out incorrect. He certainly has done that with some players, so it hasn’t all been bad. I also believe he’s flat out whiffed more than his fair share too. And I haven’t been impressed by his overall planning and roster management. Best thing he’s done as a GM was the returns he got from the post Maccagnan assets he unloaded.
