USC senior defensive lineman SHAUN CODY, who was one of only two players in attendance that said they were without a current agent, agreed to do a reality television program on Spike TV, which would help select his agent. It has raised the eyebrows of several NFLPA and team staff members, as to the judgement skills of Cody, who has also been talked about behind the scenes, as being an avid partier who might draw some concern from teams with his questionable off-field decision-making skills. Overall, he was a good interview at the event when dealing with our own staff members.

The NFLPA meeting on Friday, included having Troy Vincent speak to the 334 prospects in attendance for the Combine. He went into detail about how perspective NFL rookies should try their best not to go into depth in terms of spending money, buying expensive cars or getting abundant lines of credit. When he solicited answers from the room, Michigan wide receiver BRAYLON EDWARDS said that he had purchased a Bentley, which is valued at $250,000 dollars, which drew a harsh and honest response from Vincent who pointed out how easy it is for young players to fall into the pitfalls of how they handle their off-the-field priorities.

Not that Braylon was ever going to be within range anyway.... but I cannot express strongly enough how sure I am that both these gentlemen are off the Patriots draft board.

On Cody... you're a major 1st round prospect and every single draft slot will affect what will likely be the biggest contract of your pro-football career (and may well be your only significant contract).... and you 1) don't have an agent as of the combine 2) Are picking one via Spike TV, probably not the best method 3) Are raising questions with NFL personnel guys as to your judgment, priorities, and intelligence.

Moron.

On Edwards.... understandable and it probably won't hurt his draft stock... but jesus dude, wait three months, aight? You get clipped by a Jetta while you're crossing the street next week and that Bentley's getting repoed along with your career. Wait till the money's in the bank, or at least until you've been drafted.
