JetNation
Belittled by New York tabloids that call him 'American Idle,' disparaged by some teammates for his lack of durability, Carl Pavano could return to the Yankees this weekend. Maxman
They should resign him now. After he wins 3 games down the stretch his price is going to sky rocket.

AFJF
They should resign him now. After he wins 3 games down the stretch his price is going to sky rocket. Interesting scenario Max. The Yanks hold a 13.5 mil option on Pavano next season or a 1.5 mil buyout. What do they do if the guy really is lights out and wins six or seven games down the stretch? I think the chances of that happening are slim to none, but it would fun to see how things were to transpire.
uart
Even if he does well down the stretch, you can't pay him 13.5 million. He'll get the 1.5 million buyout.
