PFSIKH Posted April 16, 2009 Share Posted April 16, 2009 Is something wrong with Buchholz? Why would they have Masterson start? A couple of reasons. One, I think they want to work Bucholz back into the starting rotation like they did with Masterson. Clay had the late call-up in 2007 where he had the no-hitter and decent playoffs only to fall on his face last season when put into the starting role. He had a decent spring. Two, I think he will try out the reliever role like Masterson and work his way back to the rotation eventually. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Although Dice-K was very awful last night. The bullpen was money until Lopez. Can the Yanks say the same when Wang was ineffective? No...we don't have anyone named Lopez in our bullpen.
