Lurker
nonsense he's 1-8 because the royals don't score when he starts. Tough to win when you rarely even get two runs scored for you. plus, it wasn't one year 2009 was a great year, one of the best years by an AL pitcher in recent history but 2007 and 2008 were good as well damn fine pitcher so if one year wonder means "he's not going to pitch as well as he did in 2009", maybe. if one year wonder means "he's not good", no. He's still one of the better pitchers in the AL.
AGAW
He admitted to having trouble slowing the game down. Said he feels the strike zone is smaller and the hitters are better but knows it's all in his head. It will come to him. Every player in baseball goes through this. If they don't, they're probably in Cooperstown.

Lurker
his ERA isn't bad for a pitcher in the AL. He's still good, even when he's obviously having a down year. Regardless, his numbers will be better when the year ends. He's one of the best starters in baseball.
PFSIKH
That would explain the W-L record, but not the ERA over 4. And in 2007 he wound up being sent to the bullpen in May. His ERA is under (barely) the averages for AL, NL and MLB. He is average this year. He has had a few bad starts and like last year, he has had no support. He could easily have 6-8 wins if he played on a decent team.
