Very early, very non-concrete nugget: the Jets have had talks about moving to Queens.

What's the process, the cost, etc. for pulling out of the current stadium?

Is there an Opt-out?  Do they need to pay the Giants?

I don’t know the full details, but the Jets deadline to opt-out is next spring.

I believe it. The Mara’s and Tischs don’t get along either

The biggest question is will the NJSEA and the Ownership group of the NYG finally cave to the demands once the Jets have an offer to threaten them with and to what extent will they go.

A year ago I didn’t believe there is a chance that we leave.  Now I’m only at 60-40 we stay.

I’m not going to go into details about who what where and when and why, because of obvious reasons but I received a very juicy non-draft tidbit last night regarding the Jets future in New Jersey and It’s incredibly early, but there have been preliminary talks re: moving the Jets to Queens.  Stadium would be around 1.5 billion.  Steve Cohen and the NYCFC are heavily involved.

I wouldn’t lose any sh*t about it yet, but the Jets are sick tired of dealing with the Maras.  Say what you will about Johnson, but the guy basically wants everything that the players (as well as the fans) have asked for, which is a grass field and retractable roof.  Every single proposal gets shot down by the Giants side of things.  My gut feeling/sense is that another reason they have engaged in the aforementioned talks is to use it as leverage to get what they want from NJ and the Maras in terms of upgrades.  I think they’ll (NYG and NJSEA) cave; but this is certainly something to monitor as next year is the deadline for the Jets to get out.

If that happens the Jets should be renamed to "NYCFC".  And would that mean we get new uniforms?

Should also note that the biggest pusher for this is Steve Cohen himself.  He wants to light Queens up as a destination for people/tourists.

so does this mean a joint Mets/Jets stadium?

Just curious how feasible both a natural surface and a roof are. I haven't followed closely what has happened with that technology, but is that now something that can be done?

Retractable roof.  Close the roof when the grass goes dormant.

Cohen has big plans/ dreams for that area, but a football stadium being built there? C’mon. That’s not happening in this economy.

Imagine being the political hack trying to sell that idea to taxpayers struggling to pay for a dozen eggs.

Would seem like Woody just posturing and trying to negotiate a better deal.  With their training facility in FP, i cant see them building a training facility back on the island or Westchester.  So if the training facilities stay in FP and then its the reverse commute to Queens just for the games?   Not impossible but seems soooooo unlikely

Around 5 different teams in smaller markets are looking to get new Studiums built with the help of their city.

Hell KC is currently postering a move to Dallas if Missouri don’t fork up some $

Guessing it would be here. Cohen has talked about wiping out all the chop shops and sh*t from the area and turning it into an entertainment destination. IIRC, this was an option for the Jets at the time of the West Side Stadium fiasco, but Woody and Jay Cross turned their nose up at it. CitiField is an awesome venue. Hopefully, they let Cohen drive the bus on this project if it came to be.

maybe thats where Cohen wants to put the Casinos he is trying to get.

well if he really wants to do this then Cohen better resign Alonzo and sign Soto to make the Mets more attractive. and Woody better get this done before Rodgers retires and we trout out there some nobody rookie QB and pray hes not another Zach Wilson otherwise all the money in the world wont make people come there.

And?  What does that have to do with the borough of Queens and NYS?
