Should NY Jets target Treylon Burks in a trade?
Untouchable replied to LAD_Brooklyn's topic in NY Jets Forum
Why? If the Jets are still looking for depth at wideout, then go sign a guy like MVS for cheap. At least he’s a tall target who can stretch the field and has chemistry with Rodgers. -
Shocked why? The best QB this team has had since the moon landing is the two years we squeezed out of Kenny O’Brien when I was still in high school and Oingo f*cking Boingo was still releasing hits. I’m starting to wonder if the majority of Jets fans actually even watch football outside of Jets games. This isn’t some slapdick we’re talking about. It’s arguably a Mount Rushmore QB who is two years removed from his 4th league MVP.

Jets in Free Agency Limbo With Virtually Zero cap Space
Untouchable replied to JetNation's topic in NY Jets Forum
Tyron Smith, Mike Williams, Haason Reddick, John Simpson, upper echelon backup QB, DL and safety depth, etc. I’m not going to cry about the Jets not having oodles to spend post-draft after a pretty damn stellar offseason. -
Jets QB Jordan Travis sees himself as Aaron Rodgers' successor
Untouchable replied to Bronx's topic in NY Jets Forum
He’s Tyrod Taylor with a weaker arm He could possibly be a longterm, quality backup. But I doubt he’s ever starting material -
I love Mangold, but if the Jets never retired Mawae’s #68, I don’t see why they would retire Mangold’s number. And as much as I love Chrebet, I still don’t understand why the #80 has been dormant ever since. Chrebet was the classic underdog story and fan favorite, but I wouldn’t really classify him as a guy who should have his number retired.

He was the greatest And Greg Giraldo was basically his torch bearer. Giraldo on the Flavor Flav roast was some of the funniest sh*t I’ve seen in the last 20+ years.
-
Are Don Rickles or Greg Giraldo being resurrected? Otherwise this will be the most tame bullsh*t possible.
-
Can any of us even live until 2032? No So get it done in the next two years or it ain’t happening.

He was #23 last year

Literally every dude they drafted gets an A+ in the character department. Just about all of them were team captains as well. It’s obvious that the fundamental plan of the entire offseason was to transform into more of a physical team on offense. From all of the OL moves and shifting to a gap blocking scheme, adding Williams and Corley to the receiving corps, Allen and Davis being added to the backfield, etc. The Jets want to get up early, then hammer the sh*t out of you and let the defense do its thing.

If I have to choose (which we probably will), then I’m extending Carter over Reed.
