hoping4ASuperBowl
From Irsay's twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/JimIrsay/statuses/106375346449940482 "We have agreed to terms with Kerry Collins...more details to come." Does this mean Peyton won't be playing in week 1?

hoping4ASuperBowl
Just to add more: Rotoworld: The Colts "braintrust" does not believe Peyton Manning (neck surgery) will be ready for Week 1, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. According to Mortensen, Manning is "hopeful." But today's signing of Kerry Collins combined with this report should send Manning plummeting down fantasy draft boards. Even though Manning has played in 208 straight games and the Colts handed him a mammoth contract extension a month ago, his rehab from neck surgery clearly isn't going as expected. Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Philip Rivers are all safer picks in the second tier of fantasy quarterbacks. http://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter/statuses/106385206277185536 If he really is out week 1, would you pick the Texans over the Colts? TNJet
Manning will play. Its only precautionary incase he re-injures it during week 1, and they'd have had to rely you Curtis Painter haha.
