JetNation
First up we have the waiving of G Hayworth Hicks who had been on the 53-man roster for 3 weeks. Then we have the info that the Jets had tried out 15 players some of which included WR Mardy Gilyard, QB Matt Simms, DT Darrell Scott, WR Preston Parker and WR DeMarco Sampson, some of which had spent some time with the Jets in camp. Later in the day, the Jets signed Gilyard to replace WR Clyde Gates who had suffered some concussions and will be missing some games. Lastly, we have news that the Jets aren’t going to submit a claim for former Eagle DE Jason Babin. Follow Me: View the full article

New York Mick
Gilyard is slow and small and hasn't done sh*t in the NFL. Perfect fit for the jets.

JetsFanInDenver
Wasn't G Hayworth Hicks the guy who was supposed to be the super, alpha male, beast whose highlight reel impressed so many people. And wasn't it implied he was the reason we released Jonathan Grimmes for ?
