TIER 1: Impact starters

1. Alex Mack, C, Cleveland Browns: Four teams have shown varying levels of interest in the Browns' transition player, per NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. The Colts' interest might have taken a hit with Thursday's signing of Phil Costa.

2. Henry Melton, DT, Chicago Bears: Melton is visiting the Vikings on Thursday after reportedly drawing interest from his home-state Cowboys. Minnesota already has a promising three-technique tackle in last year's first-rounder, Sharrif Floyd.

3. Jermichael Finley, TE, Green Bay Packers: Finley plans to sign with Seattle, but both sides are in a holding pattern until his medical clearance comes through. It's an interesting pairing for a team that under-utilized the tight end in the passing game.

4. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Denver Broncos: The Jets have kicked around the idea of bringing in DRC, but he's going to regret turning down a Broncos offer that Pro Football Talk reported to be in the neighborhood of $54 million over six years.

TIER 2: Starters with questions

5. Jared Allen, DE, Minnesota Vikings: Allen has averaged 14.5 sacks over the past seven years. The questions revolve around age (32 in April) and whether he's willing to retire if he doesn't get the contract he wants.

6. Michael Vick, QB, Philadelphia Eagles: Seeking a clear-cut starting job, Vick is in no rush to sign, per Rapoport. Potential landing spots include the Jets, the Bills and the Raiders.

7. Walter Thurmond, CB, Seattle Seahawks: Thurmond met up with old pal Gus Bradley in Jacksonville, but left without a contract. Now he's shuffling off to San Francisco to visit the 49ers.

8. Antonio Cromartie, CB, New York Jets: The Cardinals hosted Cromartie on Thursday. With the top corners locked up, Cro and his cousin, DRC, are the top talents available.

9. James Jones, WR, Green Bay Packers: Now that Eric Decker and Golden Tate are off the market, Jones joins Nicks as the best remaining big-play wideouts. He's reportedly the radar of the Panthers and Jets.

10. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers: The Patriots have been surprisingly cool on Sanders after signing him to an offer sheet last offseason. He's visiting the Chiefs on Friday, per Rapoport, after meeting with the Jags and Bucs.

11. Pat Sims, DT, Oakland Raiders: One of our favorite sleepers met with the Titans on Thursday.

Schein: Moves I love/hate

In free agency, there's the good, the bad and the Raiders. Adam Schein shares his feelings about the flurry of activity. READ

12. Donald Penn, OT, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Although he's battled weight problems in the past, Penn hasn't missed a start in six years. His first visit is to the Raiders on Friday.

13. Zach Strief, OT, New Orleans Saints: The Jets are no longer an option after signing Breno Giacomini, but Strief is reportedly drawing interest from the Dolphins to replace Jonathan Martin.
