nyjunc
He whines when they score td's too. He never seems happy about anything.
drdetroit
As Coughlin stated yesterday, how could someone catching a pass in the end zone establish himself as a runner? There is no running after two feet are down or the ball breaks the plane. Play is over. the snobs are trying to take a poorly worded and ambiguous rule and say it has only 1 interpretation
drdetroit
Coughlin, who gets more calls than anyone, whines about EVERY SINGLE CALL that goes against the Giants. true but he's right about this
nyjunc
true but he's right about this No he's not, they made the right call. the rule is bad, the call was not.
BowlesMovement
No he's not, they made the right call. the rule is bad, the call was not. Pretty much this, the rule is awful, and it is a catch, but the rule was interpreted correctly. Couhglin has some balls, his team gets away with murder every single week, and the refs kill his opponents. I actually think its as bad if not worse than the benefit the Pats get every week. prime21
I don't think there really is a rule for it in the end zone so they use what they have in place for a catch before the endzone. The receiver has to establish himself as a runner but in the endzone the offensive player can never be a runner (not referring to kick off returners of course).
