Sarkisian's connection to Dan Quinn is pretty obvious, too -- Pete Carroll.

This actually makes a lot of sense. Sark was Raiders QBs coach in 2004, was considered a future NFL HC before alcohol issues derailed that.

wasn't schotty under consideration for their OC position a few yrs ago?  Where does Saban go now for OC?

I don't know, former Maryland coach Mike Locksley was named co-OC last month, not sure I'd be too thrilled if he got the full time job.
