Jets Start Workouts, Media Gets Shut Out

The Jets began the voluntary portion of their offseason workouts today with players such as Mo Wikerson, Eric Decker, Leonard Williams and company reporting for duty.

What was different however, is that it seems the Jets opted to release a printed version of player quotes about how “excited” they are to be back at camp, and declined to make any players available to the media for questioning.

From Newsday’s Kimberly Martin, a copy of the statements provided by the team.

The players are so excited about camp that they collectively bargained to get out of as much of it as possible...except for these jets players...they are super excited about the future. It's pretty hard not to be excited with a guy like Bowles around.

Actually the young guys are excited.  The vets collectively bargained for forbidden face time with coaches, because they don't want the coaches to see, or coach the kids.
