JetsLife Posted September 9, 2019 Share Posted September 9, 2019 I think Jets win yesterday, perhaps handily. Same if it was any other top HC leading the Jets. Like many I had about 8% confidence in the Gase hire. I viewed him as an OC, at best. His offense in Miami was always pedestrian. Running endless crossing patterns amounting to very little. Maybe I’m overrating the Jets offensive talent, not least the o-line. Maybe Gase was crap as an HC-OC in Miami as his QB and offense sucked. Or maybe he coat tailed Peyton Manning, had one good OC season in Chicago, and voila: he’s an offensive genius. With this coaching staff: I’d prefer Gregg Williams as HC and Gase as OC. If I had my druthers we’d have a different HC altogether. One issue is perennially excellent HCs can be as rare as perennially excellent QBs.
