ZachEY Posted September 17, 2019 Share Posted September 17, 2019 Hard to say who’s worse because Idzik had two bad drafts and was gone. We don’t know what 3 more drafts would have looked like. He also didn’t get routine top 10 picks to salvage his otherwise terrible picks. Ultimately, Macc did far more harm to this franchise than Idzik did. This isn’t really even close. Idzik didn’t make horrible FA decisions, routinely. And Idzik never took a strong safety over the best young QB in the NFL when the team needed a QB. We could, and should, have rebounded from him quickly. The fact that we almost made the playoffs the following year is testament to that. Macc, after 5 offseasons, has left us with a team that’s as far from a contender as we’ve ever been, and that’s with signing an elite RB and drafting a QB who may pan out.
