Fri, 10 Mar 2006 05:19:12 -0800 Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports the New Orleans Saints have stepped forward as the strongest bidder for free agent QB Drew Brees (Chargers), according to an NFL source. The Saints, Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions have reportedly been the strongest suitors to date, but the Saints have guaranteed more money than the other two teams. ''From what I know right now, it's set where he's going, and it's not Miami,'' the source said. If this does happen, who would the Saints draft at #2?
