If he was a 1st round pick no one would be considering letting him go. I’ve been saying to sign him for over a year. So we agree there. I get the logic.. But where is the money coming from to re-sign him at this year’s performance level + a new OT in free agency + a #2 WR in free agency (or Adams at $16M next year via trade). The other OT might be via round 1 but 2 starting tackles and a starting WR will not be via the draft alone. Do the math. Where is all this money coming from and how do we do it in a way that doesn’t screw up the future cap at a time when we need to re-sign last year’s draft class? JD has already pushed significant money on Tomlinson, JFM, Uzomah, Mosley, Whitehead into the future. Plus there’s the $11M we will owe our new #3 QB.
