SoFlaJets
change Mangini has made this year-thanks to the excellent work done here by Bassett at Jetsblog-check it out Jets fans-there's some good stuff about how this new regime was being formulated http://thejetsblog.com/?p=1639 Mangini fires veteran trainer New Jets coach Eric Mangini fired longtime trainer David Price, it was learned yesterday. Also, Mangini and newly hired general manager Mike Tannenbaum have started to search for a personnel director. They're targeting Ravens director of pro personnel George Kokinis, according to a NFL source. But the Ravens apparently are going to block the move. It's highly unlikely they'd let him leave before the draft in April, if at all. Right now, Kokinis is preparing the Ravens for free agency. Price's ouster came as a surprise. He was fired last week, when Terry Bradway still was the GM. It's an example of the clout Mangini wields in the organization. The Jets also hired an assistant offensive line coach, Mike Devlin, most recently a coach with the University of Toledo.
