Lil Bit Special
Has his son taken over the as the Yankee Stadium PA announcer for good? Will he return to call the All-Star Game? only thing I can find that is recent is here: http://whispersintheloggia.blogspot.com/2008/05/voice-of-god-and-pinstripes.html so i'd say if he's healthy enough he will be there. Bugg
The only time you hear his voice now is Jeter's introduction, which is recorded. No ther player has that honor.Hopefully he gets well enough to enjoy his retirement but calls a few games.
nyjunc
I do not think the current PA announcer is Sheppard's son. He was supposed to be back for the AS Game but apparently he's not doing well and will not be back for the ASG. It just doesn't sound like Yankee Stadium w/o him. http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-2/121566450730800.xml&coll=
